Dr. Don Harris - Bus and Senior Adult Pastor

Don and his wife, Shirley, have been members of Berean Baptist Church since 1994. Their children, Andre' Matthew Harris and Christine Elizabeth Harris, both attended Berean Baptist Academy. Don is a teacher at Berean Baptist Academy and a member of the Pastoral staff, and Shirley is a Registered Nurse.

Don attended Liberty University and received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1983, and was ordained by Thomas Road Baptist Church, under the ministry of Pastor Jerry Falwell. In 2008, Don earned a PhD in Religious Studies from Liberty University.

From 1983 to 1994, Don was endorsed by Liberty University to serve as a chaplain in the United States Army. His experience in the Army allowed him to minister to soldiers in Germany and the first Gulf War, where he received the bronze star in recognition for services rendered during the war.

He received Christ as his Savior and Lord at the age of 12. The Lord immediately begin directing his life toward teaching and ministering His word to others, which is a passion in his life. God has allowed him to teach Bible courses at Methodist University, Carolina Bible College, and Fayetteville Technical Community College.

While being here at Berean, Don has taught numerous Sunday School classes including the Bus Teens and the Crown Class for our senior adult members. In the Academy, he has taught History, Bible, Worldview, and Old and New Testament Survey. His life verse is Philippians 1:6-"Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." He is thankful that God has allowed him to have an influence in the lives of many young people while serving at Berean Baptist Church and Academy. His desire is that upon hearing and studying the Bible, others will have a greater conviction that the Bible we have today is the indeed the inspirited word of the living God. (II Timothy 3:16-17.)

Ken Andrews - Media and Missions Pastor

Ken Andrews is the pastor in charge of our missions and media ministries. Ken and his wife, Diana, came to us from a youth-music-missions background. Having served in local church ministry since 1972, including 9 years as a senior pastor, Ken brings a unique perspective to our ministries here at Berean.

As Missions Pastor, Ken has formed a new Missionary Support Team made up of Bereans who have a "Heart for Missions." This team watches over our missions ministry by caring for our supported missionaries and interviewing possible new missionary families. In addition, Ken has oversight of all missions trips, both youth and adult. A report on the most recent trip can be found on the Missions page of this web site.

The media team has been expanded to include the training of new camera and control operators, DVD and CD duplication, and a greater ministry to our deployed military personnel. Our services are now available for streaming via the Internet on this web site.
